Differences Between 2019 Nissan Altima & 2019 Nissan Sentra
Serving Serving Cincinnati, OH, Louisville, KY, and Fairfield, OH
The 2019 Nissan Altima has undergone a stunning transformation from the previous year. This mid-size sedan boasts a multitude of all-new mechanical, safety and interior features. Retaining a compact body, the 2019 Nissan Sentra has also evolved into a more aggressive and stylish car. Both Nissan models offer turbocharged engines and the Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission.
Performance
A 2.5 L engine block gets an entry-level mark for the 2019 Altima. This Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) powertrain produces just less than 190 horsepower. Engineered for efficient and dynamic performance, the VC-Turbo engine whips out just under 250 hp and slightly more than 270 lb-ft. Also running on a turbocharger, the 2019 Sentra's 1.6 L engine yields approximately 190 hp and 180 lb-ft. This compact sedan is available with a naturally aspirated 1.8 L engine, which is rated at 130 hp. Both Nissan vehicles are driven by the Xtronic CVT with the Manual Shift Mode. Designed for all-weather performance, the Intelligent AWD is another exciting addition to the 2019 Altima. The Intelligent Trace Control helps this mid-size navigate corners and curves. Driving over speed bumps and other small obstacles shouldn't be a major problem when the Active Ride Control comes on.
Interior
The 2019 Altima's 8.0-inch touch screen is mounted directly above the central air vents. Multiple electronic dials and push buttons are integrated into this all-new infotainment system. The 2019 retains a conventional configuration for a 7.0-inch multimedia system. Both sedans offer great connectivity through the NissanConnect platform. Amazon Alexa lets you remotely access and manage the Altima's infotainment system. You can also use voice commands to interact with Google Assistant and Siri Eyes Free. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available in the NissanConnect suite. Powered by Bluetooth, a hands-free text messaging feature is accessible through the infotainment console. Engineered by Bose, the speakers in both cars play songs on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. From Spotify and iTunes to iHeartRadio and Pandora, there are plenty of other streaming options available in these Nissan cars. The all-new Active Noise Cancellation optimizes sound quality inside the Altima.
Exterior
Active grille shutters accentuate the sporty design of the 2019 Altima. You'll also love the all-new V-Motion front grille that's covered in chrome. A body-color rear diffuser adds aggressive styling to this athletic sedan. Charcoal is also available for the racing-inspired diffuser. Some other cool styling features on this car include a rear spoiler and dual exhaust tips in chrome. For its low price tag, the 2019 Sentra also has a respectable exterior design that includes sporty elements. Of course, the NISMO trim is equipped with class-exclusive features, such as the black outside mirrors and unique badges. This compact model also has signature red strips that contrast an all-black profile. The Altima flaunts some head-turning paint options, like Sunset Drift Chromaflair.
